MongoPress: 7 months, 3 weeks ago · ViewA lot of people in the WordPress community are taking interest in a new plugin / framework / concept that allows plugins and themes to get auto-updated from within the dashboard simple by pushing and hosting the plugins on GitHub – this might be a REALLY nice thing to offer in core of MongoPress – as there are a LOT of people who would like to host and develop from GitHub – where our own hosted repository would be the only ”official” one with ”verified” apps… Your thoughts…?

MongoPress: 8 months, 1 week ago · ViewWe’ve been informed that MongoPress is having several major problems with E_STRICT environments and PHP 5.3, which has yet to be fully tested. Will be working on a fix for PHP 5.3 today – so please bear with us!
Upon further investigation, we have been unable to re-create any of the reported errors and are awaiting more information before continuing. We have however found a minor bug with the update messages, which will cause false positives on the need to upgrade, so aim to have a minor release out later today to address that.

MongoPress: 8 months, 1 week ago · ViewI made a fairly major change to the way CSS gets loaded on admin pages today – where the only stylesheet to initially get included is handheld.css (perfect for really simple browsers like BlackBerry, Nokia, etc) – and only if your browser is wider than 465px do the other style sheets then get loaded. Had to also add opacity:0 with animate function for prevent the switch from looking ugly and just wanted to inform you all so that we can keep our eyes open for any potential problems. Tried and tested on smalley.my – but you never know…

MongoPress: 8 months, 2 weeks ago · ViewOur MongoPress presentation, which is also powered by MongoPress is now online – http://www.mongopress.org/presentations/mpp-001/ – fully tested and working nicely on iPad too – so does anyone have any comments or suggestions prior to me Tweeting about this bad boy…?
There is so much more that could be discussed – talking about the way themes can control admin functionality or content structure – not to mention HTML5 drag and drop uploading and the beauty that is pretty-media URLs and GridFS
Do you think there is harm in adding more or is it already too much? Not to mention some examples of live sites:

http://laulima.com
http://smalley.my
http://smalley.my/gallery/– speaking of which, any chance we can try to launch or at least all huddle together and take more look at the new Laulima theme to see if it is ready for prime time or not…?
